Lowing Private Cemetery

The Lowing Private Cemetery is located on the northwest corner of Bauer Road where 28th Avenue intersects.

History

The story goes that there were two of the Lowing brothers who owned land next to each other. One wanted to put a road through to the river and the other did not, so he set aside land for a cemetery to block the proposed road.

This small family cemetery contains the graves of early Lowing family settlers in Michigan and serves as an important historical site for family genealogical research.
